Dave Stryker
On July 12, 1959, Dave Stryker entered into the world to join his sister and parents. He grew up on a farm and was surrounded by animals and machinery. As a young boy he was introduced to the world of motorcycles and from that point on they have always been a part of his life. Riding through most of elementary and high school, he then went on to the American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona, Florida. After graduation, he was worked at a motorcycle dealer for eight years, then went on to another field of employment. Being married and eventually with two sons life was consistant and fairly regular for many years. In 2004 Dave began to die and in 2005 his life was over. Not physically, but in all other aspects it seemed that way for in that time span his mom and dad both died suddenly and his wife of 24 years left and they divorced. But that’s not the end of his story for after that Dave found New Life. A rebirth of an exciting life was on the horizon. A complete surrender to Jesus. Dave like Isaiah said “Here am I send me.” And so the journey began, A new church family. A trip to Texas to meet a missionary family. A trip to Vermont where he learned of the existence of CMA. A trip to Colorado to train with Motor Racing Outreach. Trips to Daytona FL, Birmingham AL, and Millville NJ to minister to the race fans and community. And what started all this was meeting a wonderful Christian woman who was instrumental in changing his world so he can help change the world “one heart at a time.”
